Jesse Hobson, the host and producer of the 5 With A Digger podcast, joins the show for a raw, producer-to-producer deep dive in the newly renovated Grey Man studio. While Jesse didn’t serve himself, his deep connection to the Australian veteran community through his father’s service has fuelled a mission to keep the veteran narrative alive. In this episode, we tackle the "imposter syndrome" of podcasting, the absolute nightmare of forgetting to hit the red button on intense recordings, and the technical grind of building a show from the ground up. We also get serious about breaking the cycle of trauma for the next generation and why finding a new "tribe" is the most critical part of a veteran’s transition. Harley also shares his personal journey of leaving full-time employment to go "all-in" on the podcast, supported by the DVA, to find a sense of purpose that the traditional 7-to-4 grind couldn't provide.
